I told you Pitbull doesn’t stop and will have ANOTHER “surprise” up his sleeve for November! Well, today on Twitter, Pitbull announced that he will indeed be HOSTING the 2013 American Music Awards! Yes, another award show for this month featuring Pitbull, but this time it will feature ALL of Pitbull!
And it doesn’t stop there! No! An official ABC press release reported that he will be performing his hottest new single “Timber” LIVE with Ke$ha from his reloaded Global Warming album, Global Warming: Meltdown (that ironically will be released the next day November 25). They will both join superstars Miley Cyrus, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction, and others.
On his hosting the AMA’s, Pitbull enthusiastically stated: “I am truly honored to be hosting the 2013 American Music Awards. The night is only about one thing fun! So buckle and get ready. Dále!”
American Music Awards long-time producer Larry Klein says: “Pitbull is a multi-talented global superstar and the right man to take the reins of the night, which is going to be one great party. That’s why he is called Mr. Worldwide. He’s the perfect choice to celebrate the universal language of music.”
We defiantly agree with you there, Larry!
This will be a special awards show for Latinos also. For decades, the Dick Clark Productions company and the American Music Awards have been huge supporters of the Latino music community. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the creation of the ‘Favorite Artist Latin’ category, and in addition to the 25th anniversary of Gloria Estefan’s appearance on the AMAs who was the first Latin star to appear on the show. This is a great way to celebrate by having Pitbull (one of the biggest Latino stars in the world), to host the show!
It’s ‘GOING DOWN’ on Sunday, November 24 at 8 PM+EST on the ABC network! Pre-Show starts at 7 PM+EST.
